ot on the heels of his acclaimed 2016 performance, concert-pianist and Good Old Days Concerts Producer BERNARD WALZ returns with The Good Old Days Concerts Orchestra and special guest, violin virtuoso, MARIA LINDSAY, to dazzle you once more with a new programme – “I Love A Piano – Encore”! Add in a “Mystery Special Guest” with the voice of an Angel(!) and you are in for a musical treat!

Bernard is a seven-time “Instrumental Performer Of The Year” and has travelled the globe for over 25 years sharing his dynamic music with audiences from Royal Festival Hall in London to The Village Vanguard in New York and the principal concert Halls of Australia, including Sydney Opera House, Hamer Hall in Melbourne, and Festival Theatre in Adelaide. Under the mentorship of the late Maestro Tommy Tycho, AM MBE, Bernard’s career has grown to include conducting, orchestrating and arranging, and musical directing for the cream of Australian performers, including David Hobson, Marina Prior and Mark Vincent. Bernard’s music crosses the boundaries between classical and popular genres and his interpretations of Ragtime and the music of Gershwin are also widely applauded. Be prepared for brilliant musicianship, technical prowess and a whole lot of fun!

Virtuoso violinist, Maria Lindsay, string leader of The Good Old Days Concerts Orchestra, and founder of The Lurline Chamber Orchestra has thrilled the Good Old Days Concerts audiences with her brief solo appearances in previous concerts – and so we are delighted to feature Maria specially in this concert. The late Maestro Tommy Tycho composed his Violin Concerto for Maria – few greater tributes to her beautiful musicianship could be paid.

Don’t miss “I Love A Piano – Encore!” – a new programme of musical delights!
