“David Hobson – In Concert!” – what a way to start our 2017 season of The Good Old Days Concerts! Our most requested artist is thrilled to be returning to present a repertoire that spans the gamut of musical styles from the world of Opera and Musical Theatre to ballads, folk songs and Pop!
David made his name with Opera Australia in his award winning performance of Rodolfo in La Boheme directed by Baz Luhrmann (filmed in the early 1990s to world wide acclaim). He has gone on to become a highly-regarded classical performer, major recording artist and, most recently, a music theatre leading man, frequent television performer and guest announcer on ABC Classic FM.
Joining David in this concert will be Australian actress, singer and recording artist, soprano Claire Lyon. Most recently appearing with international star, Josh Groban, Claire also starred in the Australian national tour of “Anything Goes”, playing the role of Hope Harcourt. From 2012-2015, Claire starred as Christine Daaé in the World Tour of The Phantom Of The Opera. She is also one of the few actresses in the world to have been involved in both The Phantom Of The Opera and its sequel, Love Never Dies.
Bernard Walz will also conduct The Good Old Days Concerts Orchestra to accompany both our artists and David Parsons will also play the Grand Organ prior to each performance!
This is a concert not to be missed and will be a sellout! Don’t delay in submitting your booking for this very special event!
Bookings Open: 17 October 2016
